Deborah  received her Diploma in Massage Therapy, with Honours, from the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy (CCMH) in Halifax, Nova Scotia in 2013.

Deborah has also completed her Diploma in Bowen Therapy, which focuses on promoting body balance and relaxation, to enable the body to restore health and function. She completed her training with Bowtech, through the Bowen Training Academy in Ontario.

Accreditation as a Wellbeing Coach was achieved in 2020.

She is  a member of  the Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT).

As part of her ongoing education and training she has attended workshops including The Art Of Bowen (Alastair McLoughlin),  Importance of Symmetry (Graham Pennington), College of Applied Myoskeletal Therapy – Pelvis and Lumbar Spine, Upper Torso and Neck (John Garfield), Scar Tissue Release Technique (Alastair McLoughlin). Deborah has also completed specialist training with the Chrysalis Effect ( programme for recovery of Chronic Fatigue, ME and Fibromyalgia). She continues to update her knowledge to enhance her practice.

Deborah believes that the body has great powers for recovery and that it’s various parts are interconnected, so dysfunction in one area will impact other areas. Her aim is to provide input which puts the body in a better state for healing, and to provide therapy specific to the needs and tolerances of her clients..

Deborah also brings a background in healthcare and the promotion of wellness and function to her practice. She received her Diploma in Occupational Therapy in 1985 from the Dorset House of Occupational Therapy in Oxford, United Kingdom. During her 13 years working as an Occupational Therapist she worked with a variety of client groups, specializing in working with Seniors and in palliative care, including work in the Highland Hospice.
